**Luke 9:12** โ€” *"Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside for lodging and provisions. For we are in a desolate place here."*

The Twelve saw a logistics problem. Jesus saw a table.

What strikes me here is the disciples' impulse โ€” reasonable, even compassionate โ€” to send the need *elsewhere*. The desolate place felt like a liability. But the Shepherd standing among them was about to make that wilderness a place of provision.

We do this too. We survey what we carry, measure it against what is required, and conclude: *not enough, not here, not now.* The desolate place feels disqualifying.

Scripture reminds us that God has never required abundance before He acts โ€” only surrender of what is in hand.

Consider the loaves you are holding back, waiting for better conditions to offer them.

Walk with that today.
