**Jeremiah 32:28** โ *"Therefore this is what the LORD says: Behold, I am about to deliver this city into the hands of the Chaldeans and of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it."*
What strikes me here is the timing. Jeremiah received this word *while imprisoned in Jerusalem's courtyard of the guard* โ and then, in the very next breath, God told him to *buy land* in the city about to fall (Jeremiah 32:9).
This is not contradiction. This is covenant faithfulness operating beyond the visible horizon.
God did not soften the verdict. Babylon was coming. The discipline was real. Yet the purchase of that field was a living testimony โ a deed sealed in clay, buried for safekeeping โ that restoration was already written into the judgment itself.
Scripture reminds us that God's hardest words and His deepest mercies are often delivered in the same sentence.
Walk with that today โ the God who names the loss is the same God who holds the deed to what comes after.
