**Jeremiah 51:34** โ€” *"Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me. He has set me aside like an empty vessel; he has swallowed me like a monster; he filled his belly with my delicacies and vomited me out."*

Jerusalem speaks here โ€” not in polished theological language, but in the raw, visceral voice of a city stripped bare. Devoured. Discarded. Cast aside like a vessel with nothing left to offer.

This is covenant lament at its most honest. Scripture does not sanitize suffering. It names it. And in naming it, something holy happens โ€” the wound is brought before the One who sees.

Zion's cry did not go unanswered. Babylon fell. The empty vessel was filled again.

Walk with that truth today โ€” whatever has consumed you, whatever has left you hollow and cast aside, you are not abandoned. The Shepherd who heard Jerusalem's lament hears yours.

Let us reflect on what it means to bring our emptiness to a God who restores.
