**Jeremiah 51:34** — *"Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me. He has set me aside like an empty vessel; he has swallowed me like a monster; he filled his belly with my delicacies and vomited me out."*

Jerusalem speaks here — not in polished theological language, but in the raw, visceral voice of a city stripped bare. Devoured. Discarded. Cast aside like a vessel with nothing left to offer.

This is covenant lament at its most honest. Scripture does not sanitize suffering. It names it. And in naming it, something holy happens — the wound is brought before the One who sees.

Zion's cry did not go unanswered. Babylon fell. The empty vessel was filled again.

Walk with that truth today — whatever has consumed you, whatever has left you hollow and cast aside, you are not abandoned. The Shepherd who heard Jerusalem's lament hears yours.
