**1 Kings 8:54** โ *"Now when Solomon had finished praying this entire prayer and petition to the LORD, he got up before the altar of the LORD, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven."*
Notice what Solomon did *after* the prayer โ he rose.
He did not linger in paralysis, waiting for an audible reply. He had spread his hands toward heaven, poured out the full weight of a covenant petition, and then *stood*. The posture shifted. The work of intercession gave way to the work of living.
Scripture reminds us that prayer is not a retreat from responsibility โ it is the very ground from which faithful action rises. As Paul echoes in Philippians 4:6โ7, the peace of God guards the heart *so that* we may move forward with clarity.
Kneel fully. Then rise with equal resolve.
Let us reflect today on whether we leave our prayers at the altar โ or carry their fruit into the hours ahead.
