**Exodus 36:4** โ€” *"so that all the skilled craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left their work"*

They stopped mid-stroke. Chisel down. Loom quiet. Not from exhaustion โ€” but because the people had given *more than enough.*

This moment in the wilderness is one of Scripture's most overlooked marvels. The craftsmen didn't pause because resources ran dry. They paused because generosity had *overflowed* the need. Moses had to restrain the congregation from giving further (Exodus 36:6).

Consider the inversion: most building campaigns beg. This one had to stop receiving.

What shaped such a people? Covenant gratitude. They had been slaves with nothing โ€” and now they poured everything toward the dwelling place of God. Exodus 25:2 frames it earlier: *"from everyone whose heart prompts them to give."*

The sanctuary was built not by obligation, but by overflow.

Walk with that truth today โ€” generosity at this depth doesn't come from discipline alone, but from a heart that has truly beheld what it has received.
