**Psalms 71:23** โ€” *"My lips will shout for joy, along with my soul, which You have redeemed."*

Notice the sequence here. The lips move first โ€” then the soul follows. The psalmist does not wait until he *feels* redeemed before he sings. He sings, and the soul catches up.

This is not performance. This is covenant faithfulness in motion. The Hebrew word for *redeemed* โ€” **pฤdฤh** โ€” carries the weight of a ransom paid, a captive released, a price settled on your behalf before you ever opened your mouth.

So when worship feels hollow, when the voice trembles more than it soars โ€” Scripture reminds us that praise is not the fruit of full feeling. It is the act of a soul that knows *who* holds the ransom note.

The lips lead. The soul follows. Grace does the rest.

Let us reflect on what it means to praise our way *into* the truth we already possess.
