**1 Kings 13:8** โ€” *"If you were to give me half your possessions, I still would not go with you, nor would I eat bread or drink water in this place."*

A nameless prophet. A royal invitation. A table set with comfort โ€” and he walks away from all of it.

This man of God had received a specific word: do not eat here, do not linger here. The king's offer was generous, perhaps even flattering. But generosity is not the same as permission. Abundance is not the same as blessing.

Consider the subtle danger of the well-furnished invitation โ€” the one that *looks* like provision but leads you off the path God marked for you.

The man did not negotiate. He did not stay *just a little while.* He held the word he had been given and let it cost him nothing to refuse what was never his to receive.

Walk with the word you've been given โ€” even when the table looks inviting.
