**Romans 4:16** β€” *"Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspringβ€”not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all."*

Paul wrote this to a divided Roman church β€” Jewish and Gentile believers straining against one another over who truly belonged to God's covenant family.

His answer was surgical: the promise was never secured by lineage or law-keeping. It was secured by grace, received through faith. Abraham himself was counted righteous *before* circumcision (Romans 4:10) β€” which means the covenant was always wider than any one people's tradition could contain.

This is not a soft word about inclusion. It is a precise word about God's design.

By grace, the table was set before any of us arrived worthy enough to sit at it.

Walk with that today β€” and consider what it means that your place was *guaranteed*, not earned.
