**Isaiah 8:1** — *"Take a large scroll and write on it with an ordinary stylus: Maher-shalal-hash-baz."*
The LORD did not send Isaiah to the royal court with polished rhetoric. He sent him to a scroll, with an ordinary stylus, to write words that sounded like chaos — *"swift is the plunder, speedy is the prey"* — before the siege even began.
