**Psalms 78:37** โ€” *"Their hearts were disloyal to Him, and they were unfaithful to His covenant."*

This is not a verse about strangers. It is a verse about the redeemed โ€” the very people God had delivered through the sea, fed with manna, and led by a pillar of fire. They sang His praises at the shore, then drifted before the song had faded.

The Hebrew word here for *disloyal* carries the weight of something divided โ€” a heart pulled in two directions, never fully surrendering one for the other.

Covenant faithfulness is not a feeling. It is a daily, deliberate returning. The Israelites did not abandon God in one dramatic moment; they eroded slowly, through small compromises and shallow worship.

Hebrews 3:13 warns us to *"encourage one another dailyโ€ฆ so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness."*

Let us reflect on what quiet erosion may be at work โ€” and walk back toward the Shepherd who never drifted from us.
