**Numbers 11:34** โ€” *"So they called that place Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food."*

A grave named after an appetite.

That is what unchecked craving produced in the wilderness โ€” not satisfaction, but a burial site. The Israelites had manna, the covenant provision of God, and still they yearned for Egypt's table. The craving was not merely for meat. It was a rejection of God's sufficiency.

Kibroth-hattaavah means *"graves of craving"* in Hebrew. The place itself became testimony โ€” a name carved into geography so future generations would walk past the warning.

Scripture reminds us that what we pursue relentlessly will eventually mark us. Desire is not sin. But desire that displaces trust in God's provision becomes its own kind of wilderness grave.

Consider the appetites you have named in your own life โ€” and whether they are leading you toward covenant faithfulness or away from it.

Walk with wisdom, beloved. ๐ŸŒฟ
