**Psalm 55:18** โ€” *"He redeems my soul in peace from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me."*

David wrote this while surrounded โ€” betrayed by a close companion, outnumbered, exhausted. Yet the verb he reaches for is *redeems*, not *rescues*. There is a difference. Rescue removes you from danger. Redemption restores what the battle tried to take โ€” your peace, your identity, your covenant standing before God.

The opposition David faced was real. The soul-weariness was real. And still, the Lord met him *in* the conflict, not after it cleared.

Walk with that today. You may not be delivered *from* the pressure you carry โ€” but Scripture reminds us that redemption works *within* it, returning to you what opposition sought to steal.

Consider the peace that is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of the One who redeems in the middle of it.
