**Genesis 41:43** โ *"He had Joseph ride in his second chariot, with men calling out before him, 'Bow the knee!' So he placed him over all the land of Egypt."*
Consider the distance between the pit and the chariot.
Joseph did not seize this elevation โ he was placed into it. Pharaoh's hand moved, but Scripture reminds us that God's sovereign hand moved Pharaoh's. What looks like political appointment is, beneath the surface, covenant faithfulness fulfilling its ancient word.
This is the nature of stewardship: authority received, never grabbed. Joseph had stewarded a prison with the same integrity he would bring to a palace. The chariot was simply the next assignment.
Proverbs 18:16 testifies, *"A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great."* And Psalm 75:7 anchors it โ *"It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another."*
Walk faithfully in the small place. The chariot belongs to the One who places.
