**Proverbs 25:19** โ€” *"Like a broken tooth or a foot out of joint is confidence in a faithless man in time of trouble."*

Solomon does not soften this. He reaches for two physical sensations every reader knows โ€” the sharp collapse of a tooth under pressure, the sudden betrayal of a joint that gives way mid-step. Both fail precisely when you need them most.

This is not a warning about strangers. It is a covenant word about the people we lean on when the weight is real.

Faithfulness is not tested in comfortable seasons. It is revealed in the moment of crisis โ€” when the cost of keeping your word rises and every lesser loyalty finds its exit.

Scripture reminds us that God alone is the sure foundation (Psalm 18:2), the one who does not shift when the pressure mounts (Malachi 3:6).

Walk with those whose faithfulness has been proven โ€” and by grace, *be* that person for someone else.
