**Ezekiel 12:18** โ€” *"Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, and drink your water with quivering and anxiety."*

God gave Ezekiel a peculiar assignment โ€” turn a meal into a message. Every trembling bite, every anxious sip, was meant to mirror what Jerusalem's coming siege would feel like. The ordinary act of eating became prophetic testimony.

Consider the weight of that: God can sanctify our anxiety into proclamation. Ezekiel didn't suppress his trembling โ€” he let it speak.

We often treat our unease as something to overcome before we can be useful to God. But here, the quivering *was* the ministry. The shepherd who carries genuine sorrow for his people testifies more honestly than the one who performs calm.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18 that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted."* Not close to those who have mastered their fear โ€” close to those still trembling.

Let your trembling be honest before God today.
