**Jeremiah 51:16** โ€” *"When He thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He generates the lightning with the rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses."*

The ancient Babylonians worshipped Marduk as the storm-lord. Jeremiah, writing directly *into* that culture, answered with this: your god is borrowed thunder. The LORD does not merely command the storm โ€” He *stores* the wind. He holds weather the way a steward holds inventory, dispensing it according to covenant purpose.

There is deep pastoral comfort here. The same sovereign hand that opens the storehouse of wind over the ocean also governs the season pressing against your life right now. Nothing arrives unscheduled. Nothing exceeds His inventory.

Scripture reminds us that the God who thunders is the God who whispers โ€” and both voices belong to the same faithful Shepherd.

Walk with that today. Let the storm remind you who holds the storehouses.
