**Judges 5:9** โ€” *"My heart is with the princes of Israel, with the volunteers among the people. Bless the LORD!"*

Deborah sang this after battle โ€” not to celebrate strategy or strength, but to honor those who *chose* to show up. The volunteers. The ones no one conscripted. The ones whose hearts moved before their feet did.

There is something sacred in voluntary devotion. Covenant obedience that flows from love rather than obligation carries a different weight โ€” it testifies to the character of the one who gives it.

Scripture reminds us that God sees not merely the act, but the posture behind it. David understood this. So did the early church, who gave not under compulsion but with gladness (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Walk with Deborah's song today โ€” and consider what you are offering the LORD freely, from a willing heart, with no audience required.

*Bless the LORD.*
