**2 Kings 15:32** โ€” *"In the second year of the reign of Pekah son of Remaliah over Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah."*

A throne in the north. A throne in the south. Two kings, two trajectories โ€” and God's covenant people caught between them.

Scripture reminds us that Jotham stepped into his role while Pekah's shadow stretched long across Israel. He did not choose his moment. He inherited it. Yet 2 Chronicles 27:6 testifies he "grew powerful because he walked steadfastly before the LORD his God."

Faithfulness is rarely born in favorable conditions. It is forged in complicated ones.

The steward who abides in covenant faithfulness โ€” even when the surrounding political landscape is fractured and loud โ€” becomes a quiet witness to something the world cannot manufacture: a life ordered by God rather than by circumstance.

Consider the season you are in, and who you are choosing to be within it.
