**Luke 18:16** โ€” *"But Jesus called the children to Him and said, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'"*

A child does not negotiate entry. She does not rehearse her credentials before reaching up. She simply comes โ€” arms extended, trust intact, unburdened by the weight of self-sufficiency.

Jesus did not merely tolerate the children that day. He *called* them. Past the disciples who were managing crowds and protecting schedules. Past every reasonable boundary of importance.

The kingdom, He says, belongs to *such as these.* Not to the polished. Not to the prepared. To those who still know how to receive.

Consider the places in your walk where you have exchanged that open-handed trust for the heavier work of earning your way toward God.

Scripture reminds us โ€” the door was never locked. We were simply told to come.
