**Luke 19:8** โ€” *"But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, 'Look, Lord, half of my possessions I give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone, I will repay it fourfold.'"*

Notice what Zacchaeus does not do โ€” he does not whisper a private resolution or wait for a more convenient season. He *stands up*. In front of witnesses. Before the crowd that had just muttered about Jesus eating with a sinner.

Genuine repentance has a posture. It is visible, specific, and costly. He names the poor. He names the fraud. He names the number โ€” fourfold, echoing the restitution law of Exodus 22:1. This was not sentiment; it was covenant accountability made flesh.

Salvation had entered his house, and his wallet bore the proof.

Scripture reminds us that where grace truly lands, it reorganizes everything it touches โ€” including what we owe, and to whom.

Consider the ledger grace has opened in your own life.
