**John 3:30** โ€” *"He must increase; I must decrease."*

John the Baptist spoke these words while his own disciples were leaving him for Jesus. He wasn't wounded by it. He was *fulfilled* by it.

There is a particular grace in this โ€” the man who had crowds at the Jordan, who baptized the Son of God himself, who wore camel's hair and ate locusts โ€” this man watched his ministry empty out and called it *success*.

We often measure faithfulness by visibility. By growth. By who is still in the room.

But John measured it differently: by how clearly the Light could be seen once he stepped aside.

The steward's highest calling is not to be remembered โ€” it is to make room.

Consider the quiet moments today when you chose to recede, to yield, to let another be seen. Scripture reminds us that decrease, rightly offered, is its own form of worship.

Let that settle.
