**Acts 28:3** โ€” *"Paul gathered a bundle of sticks, and as he laid them on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself to his hand."*

Shipwrecked. Soaking. Stranded on Malta. And Paul's response? He gathered wood and served.

No platform. No audience. No apostolic fanfare โ€” only cold survivors and a fire that needed tending. This is the texture of faithful stewardship: unglamorous, immediate, and present to the need directly in front of you.

Then the viper struck. The heat of ordinary service drove something dangerous into the open.

Scripture reminds us that obedience does not immunize us from sudden danger โ€” but it does position us within the mercy of God's watch. Paul shook the snake off and kept walking. Not because he was fearless, but because his hands were already committed to serving others.

Consider the bundle of sticks you are carrying today โ€” and Who walks beside you as you lay them down.
