**1 Chronicles 15:1** โ *"David constructed buildings for himself in the City of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it."*
Notice the sequence here. David built for himself โ and then, deliberately, he prepared a dwelling for the presence of God.
This is not accidental ordering. The Chronicler is showing us a king who understood stewardship: that personal establishment and sacred preparation are not rivals, but partners. David did not neglect his household to honor God, nor did he settle his own affairs and forget the ark.
The tent he pitched was intentional. Prepared. Set apart before the procession ever began.
Scripture reminds us that how we arrange our priorities reveals what we actually reverence. The space we *prepare* for God's presence โ in our homes, our schedules, our hearts โ speaks before we ever say a word.
Walk with that thought today. What you make room for, you make holy.
