**Judges 1:34** โ *"The Amorites forced the Danites into the hill country and did not allow them to come down into the plain."*
Dan inherited a coastline and fertile lowlands. What they received by covenant, they surrendered by compromise โ pressed back, step by step, until the high places became their ceiling rather than their refuge.
Scripture reminds us that spiritual displacement rarely happens in a single moment. It accumulates. A boundary yielded here, a plain abandoned there, until confinement begins to feel like home.
The Danites did not lose their inheritance because God withheld it. They lost the ground they would not hold.
Walk with that image today โ the inheritance still promised, the plain still visible below, and the question of whether what constrains you has true authority or only the authority you have allowed it.
By grace, what was yielded can be reclaimed. The covenant does not expire with our courage.
