**Proverbs 3:34** โ *"He mocks the mockers, but gives grace to the humble."*
There is a man in every generation who sharpens his tongue against God's ways โ certain he sees more clearly than the covenant-keeper. Scripture does not argue with him. It simply notes that God *answers in kind.*
But the humble steward โ the one who brings his broken reasoning to the altar rather than the public square โ receives something the mocker cannot purchase or manufacture: *grace.*
This is not passive virtue. Humility in Proverbs is an active posture. It is the hand open, not the fist raised.
James 4:6 echoes this precisely: *"God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."* Two witnesses. One unshakeable truth.
Walk with open hands today, beloved โ and consider what grace has been waiting at the door.
