Su pointed directly to accelerating AI infrastructure buildout as the engine behind that revision, a signal the market read as validation that AMD is firmly in the race.
Staying in the chip space, Nvidia deepened its AI supply chain strategy with a new partnership with Corning, the specialty glass and optical components maker. Optical interconnects are increasingly bottlenecked as data center traffic explodes, and Nvidia is moving early to lock in supply with key manufacturers before scarcity becomes a structural problem.
On a different note, the media world lost a genuine pioneer today. Ted Turner, the billionaire founder of CNN and architect of the twenty-four-hour cable news cycle, has died at eighty-seven. Turner launched CNN in nineteen eighty when the idea of round-the-clock television news was considered borderline absurd. He fundamentally rewired how the world consumes information, and that legacy is difficult to overstate.
