**Matthew 9:32** โ *"As they were leaving, a demon-possessed man who was mute was brought to Jesus."*
Someone carried him there. He could not cry out for help. He could not speak his own need. And yet โ he arrived at the feet of Christ because others would not leave him behind.
This is the covenant work of the body. Not every soul can voice their own desperation. Some are silenced by affliction, by shame, by years of being unseen. The steward's calling is to notice the mute man at the edge of the crowd and bring him forward.
Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:2 โ *"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."*
The miracle recorded in Matthew 9 began not with Jesus, but with the unnamed ones who refused to walk away.
Consider the person in your life whose silence may itself be the cry.
