**Exodus 31:11** โ€” *"in addition to the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them according to all that I have commanded you."*

Even the fragrance of worship was not left to improvisation.

God did not say, "Bring something that smells pleasant." He specified the formula, the proportions, the purpose. Bezalel and Oholiab were gifted craftsmen โ€” yet their gifting was meant to serve *precise* obedience, not creative autonomy.

This is the covenant pattern: God equips, then God directs. The anointing oil was not merely beautiful โ€” it was *set apart*, made according to His word, consecrated through compliance.

Walk with that truth today. Your gifts โ€” whether in craft, speech, or stewardship โ€” are not yours to deploy on your own terms. They are holy instruments, handed back to the One who gave them, shaped by what He has commanded.

Let us reflect on what it means to be both gifted *and* submitted.
