**Isaiah 27:4** โ *"I am not angry. If only thorns and briers confronted Me, I would march and trample them, I would burn them to the ground."*
Notice what God does *not* say here. He does not say He is distant, indifferent, or exhausted by His people's failures. He says He is *not angry* โ and then, with striking tenderness, turns His fury toward whatever *threatens* the vineyard He loves.
The thorns and briers in this passage are the enemies of God's people, not His people themselves. The Lord's posture toward His beloved is protective, not punitive. He is a Shepherd who marches *toward* the danger, not away from the wounded.
This is the covenant character of God โ fierce in mercy, relentless in defense of those He calls His own.
Walk with that assurance today: the One who guards your soul is not weary of you. He is stationed at the gate.
