**Leviticus 21:10** โ€” *"The priest who is highest among his brothers, who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the priestly garments, must not let his hair hang loose or tear his garments."*

The high priest's appearance was not vanity โ€” it was covenant fidelity made visible. Disheveled hair and torn robes were ancient grief rituals. God was not forbidding sorrow; He was guarding the office. The anointed one had to *look* like what he *was*, because the people's confidence in God's presence rested partly on what they could see.

Consider the weight of that. To be set apart is to carry a representation, not merely a title.

Scripture reminds us in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are *"a royal priesthood, a holy nation"* โ€” anointed by the same Spirit, called to the same coherence between calling and conduct.

Walk with that today. Let your life bear the mark of what you have been ordained to be.
