A federal lawsuit is painting an uncomfortable picture of Meta's leadership. Court filings allege that Mark Zuckerberg personally authorized and encouraged the use of copyrighted material to train the company's AI systems. If that holds up, it shifts this from a corporate oversight story to a question of deliberate executive decision-making at the highest level.
Shifting to Apple, the company is reportedly planning to open up its AI layer in a significant way. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, iOS twenty seven, iPadOS twenty seven, and macOS twenty seven would let users choose third-party AI models to power Apple Intelligence features system-wide. That would be a meaningful departure from Apple's usual instinct to keep everything tightly in-house.
And on the infrastructure side, Samsung is showcasing something genuinely unusual — a floating data center ship, pitched as a way to accelerate AI capacity deployment at sea. A Dallas-based partner is claiming one point five gigawatts of capacity within thirty six months and calling speed to power the new competitive moat. Bold numbers, and the execution questions are just as large.
