**Obadiah 1:6** โ€” *"But how Esau will be pillaged, his hidden treasures sought out!"*

Esau built his security in the clefts of Petra โ€” carved stone, hidden vaults, geography as god. The Edomites trusted their concealment. What no enemy could see, they believed no enemy could touch.

God saw every vault.

Scripture reminds us that hiddenness is not the same as holiness. What we bury โ€” pride, self-reliance, the wealth we never consecrate โ€” does not become protected simply because it is unseen. Obadiah's oracle strips that illusion bare with surgical precision.

The covenant God of Israel is not impressed by altitude or architecture. He is not kept out by stone walls or careful concealment.

Walk with open hands before Him. The steward who hoards in secret forfeits what the steward who offers openly receives by grace.

Consider the treasures you have tucked away โ€” and what it would mean to bring them into the light.
