**Proverbs 13:6** โ€” *"Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness undermines the sinner."*

The Hebrew word here for *guards* is **natsar** โ€” to watch over, to keep as a sentinel. Righteousness is not passive virtue. It stands post.

Consider the man who refuses to falsify a report, even when silence would be easier. He may lose approval in the moment, but covenant integrity builds a wall around him โ€” quietly, brick by brick โ€” that no short-term compromise can purchase.

Wickedness, by contrast, doesn't destroy all at once. It *undermines* โ€” like water beneath a foundation, patient and invisible, until the structure gives way.

Walk in integrity long enough, and you will recognize its protection not as reward earned, but as grace received. As Psalm 25:21 affirms, *"May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, LORD, is in you."*

The life built on righteousness stands. Let that truth settle before you act today.
