**John 1:39** โ€” *"Come and see," He replied. So they went and saw where He was staying, and spent that day with Him. It was about the tenth hour.*

The tenth hour. Late afternoon โ€” perhaps four o'clock by Roman reckoning. John records the time not as filler, but as testimony. He was *there*. He remembered the slant of that light, the weight of that hour.

Notice what Jesus does not do: He delivers no sermon. He extends no program. He simply says, *come and abide with Me.*

This is the shape of discipleship at its root โ€” not a curriculum, but a dwelling. Andrew and John did not leave with doctrine; they left transformed by *presence*. As Psalm 27:4 yearns, to dwell in the house of the Lord and behold His beauty.

Scripture reminds us that knowing Christ begins not with mastery, but with proximity.

Consider the hours you give โ€” and where you choose to spend them.
