**1 Corinthians 10:3** โ *"They all ate the same spiritual food."*
Paul is speaking of Israel in the wilderness โ manna falling at dawn, six days a week, for forty years. Every tribe. Every elder. Every child. The same bread from heaven, without distinction.
Yet the same provision did not produce the same faithfulness.
This is the sobering weight of verse three. The covenant table is set equally before us โ Word, sacrament, prayer, the gathered fellowship of believers. No one among us receives a lesser portion of grace.
What differs is not the bread. What differs is how we receive it.
Scripture reminds us that Israel's story was written as a warning and a mirror (1 Corinthians 10:11). Ezekiel 18:31 calls us to make ourselves a new heart โ not because God withholds, but because reception requires the will to receive.
The manna still falls. The Shepherd still provides. Consider the posture you bring to the table.
