**Numbers 6:12** โ€” *"He must rededicate his time of separation to the LORD and bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt offering. But the preceding days shall not be counted, because his separation was defiled."*

A Nazirite who stumbled didn't simply resume where he left off. The covenant had to begin again โ€” lamb, altar, fresh consecration. The lost days were not recovered. They were released.

There is something both sobering and merciful in this. God did not offer a patch for a broken vow. He offered a new start, properly offered, properly received.

Scripture reminds us that our own defilements โ€” the seasons we wandered, the vows we quietly abandoned โ€” are not simply resumed. They are rededicated. By grace, the altar remains open. The Lamb has been provided.

Walk with this today: restoration in the covenant of God is never a continuation of what was broken โ€” it is a return, whole and deliberate, to what is holy.
