**Psalms 71:16** β *"I will come in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will proclaim Your righteousnessβYours alone."*
The psalmist is aging. His bones carry decades. Yet he does not say, *I will come in the strength of my experience* β or my reputation, or my proven record of faithfulness.
He strips it all away.
This is the covenant posture of a steward who has learned what self-reliance actually costs. The proclamation he carries is not his own testimony of personal achievement β it is the righteousness of God, Yours alone, offered back to the One from whom it came.
There is a kind of maturity that looks like surrender. Not weakness β but the settled wisdom of a shepherd who has walked long enough to know whose strength actually holds.
Walk with that today. Let the weight you carry be His righteousness, not your credentials.
*Consider the freedom in proclaiming what you did not earn.*
