**1 Chronicles 9:24** — *"The gatekeepers were stationed on the four sides: east, west, north, and south."*

This wasn't ceremonial symmetry — it was covenant faithfulness made visible in human bodies. These men rose before dawn, held their post through heat and cold, and answered to God for what passed through those gates. Stewardship, at its most literal form, is positional: you are placed *somewhere specific* to guard *something specific*.
Consider the gates entrusted to you — your home, your words, your influence, your time. The Lord does not station gatekeepers randomly. Proverbs 4:23 echoes this: *"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."*
By grace, your post is not accidental. You were placed on your particular side of the wall for a reason.
There is something worth protecting in the ground where you stand.
