**Matthew 8:3** โ€” *"Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. 'I am willing,' He said. 'Be clean!' And immediately his leprosy was cleaned."*

A leper in first-century Judea was untouchable โ€” by law, by custom, by instinct. To make contact with him was to become unclean yourself. Jesus knew this. He touched him anyway.

Notice what comes *before* the healing: the reach. The hand extended toward the one society had declared off-limits. Willingness made visible before a single word was spoken.

This is the covenant mercy of God โ€” not distant, not conditional on our cleanliness, not withheld until we have made ourselves presentable. He moves *toward* the broken. He abides with the outcast.

Wherever you carry something you believe disqualifies you from His nearness, let Scripture remind you: the hand is already reaching.

Walk with that today.
