**Exodus 32:11** โ *"But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God, saying, 'O LORD, why does Your anger burn against Your people, whom You brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?'"*
Moses does not hide. He does not deflect. He stands between a holy God and a people who have already broken covenant โ and he intercedes by reminding God of His own redemptive work.
This is the posture of a true shepherd: not managing the crisis from a distance, but pressing into the presence of God on behalf of the vulnerable.
Notice that Moses appeals not to the people's merit โ they have none in this moment โ but to God's *identity* as deliverer. He anchors his plea in what God has already done.
Scripture reminds us that intercession is an act of covenant faithfulness, not spiritual optimism.
Consider the one in your care who needs someone to stand in that gap today. Walk with that calling.
