**Acts 4:11** — *"This Jesus is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone."*
Peter spoke these words to the very council that had arrested him — the architects of Israel's religious life — and told them plainly: you measured, you evaluated, and you discarded the load-bearing stone.
There is something sobering in that image. The builders were not careless men. They were trained, credentialed, devoted to the structure. Yet expertise did not protect them from the most consequential misjudgment in history.
We are all, in some measure, builders. We assess what belongs in our lives, our plans, our futures. And the temptation is always to set aside what does not fit our current design.
Scripture reminds us that the cornerstone does not conform to the blueprint — the blueprint conforms to Him.
Walk with that truth today, and consider what you may have set aside because it did not fit your plans.
