**Ezekiel 31:10** โ€” *"Since it became great in height and set its top among the clouds, and it grew proud on account of its height..."*

The cedar of Assyria was magnificent โ€” sheltering nations, towering above every forest tree. God Himself described its glory in detail. And then came the reckoning.

This is not a warning against excellence. It is a warning against the moment excellence forgets its Source. The tree did not fall because it grew tall. It fell because it mistook its height for its own achievement.

Stewardship of gifting is a covenant responsibility. Every capacity we carry โ€” intellect, influence, platform, skill โ€” was placed in our hands, not grown from our own roots. Proverbs 16:18 confirms it plainly: *"Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall."*

The tallest cedars are still called to dwell beneath the shelter of the One who planted them.

Walk with open hands, beloved โ€” and let the height be His glory, not yours.
