**Job 22:3** โ€” *"Does it delight the Almighty that you are righteous? Does He profit if your ways are blameless?"*

Eliphaz meant this as an accusation. He assumed God was indifferent to human virtue โ€” that righteousness neither moved nor mattered to the Almighty.

He was wrong. And Scripture corrects him.

Zephaniah 3:17 testifies that God *rejoices over His people with singing.* Hebrews 11:6 affirms He *rewards those who earnestly seek Him.* God is not an unmoved ledger-keeper tallying blameless behavior. He is a covenant Father who *delights* โ€” not because He profits from our obedience, but because He loves what He has made and redeemed.

Eliphaz confused divine self-sufficiency with divine indifference. God needs nothing from us โ€” and yet He *yearns* toward us. That distinction is everything.

Walk in righteousness not to earn God's attention, but because you already dwell within it.

Let that truth settle where striving once lived.
