**2 Chronicles 17:11** โ€” *"Some Philistines also brought gifts and silver as tribute to Jehoshaphat, and the Arabs brought him 7,700 rams and 7,700 goats from their flocks."*

Surrounding nations did not attack Jehoshaphat โ€” they brought offerings. This was no diplomatic accident. Earlier in the chapter, we learn he sought the God of his father, walked in His commands, and sent teachers throughout Judah with the Book of the Law. Faithfulness preceded favor.

The tribute flowed *toward* him because the fear of the LORD had settled *around* him โ€” a posture of the soul made visible through governance, worship, and covenant instruction.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:7 that *"when a person's ways please the LORD, he makes even their enemies to be at peace with them."*

Jehoshaphat's story is not about political strategy. It is about what becomes possible when a steward aligns his household โ€” and his heart โ€” with the wisdom of God.

Let us reflect on what our faithfulness is quietly drawing near.
