**Judges 21:14** โ *"And at that time the Benjamites returned and were given the women who were spared from Jabesh-gilead. But there were not enough women for all of them."*
A tribe nearly erased. A covenant people fractured by its own violence. And yet โ even in this broken, insufficient provision โ Israel's story does not end here.
Scripture reminds us that God's redemptive work often moves through incomplete resolutions. The women were not enough. The peace was not whole. Yet Benjamin endured, and from that remnant would one day come Saul, and through Israel's full story, a Savior.
This passage does not celebrate the means. It testifies to a mercy that outlasts human failure. Covenant faithfulness is not contingent on our sufficiency โ it dwells in His.
Walk with the discomfort of this text. Some chapters of grace are harder to hold, and yet they still carry us forward toward the One who makes all things complete.
