**Nehemiah 12:17** โ€” *"of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin and of Moadiah, Piltai"*

Names tucked inside a genealogical list. Easy to pass over. Yet Nehemiah records them with care โ€” Zichri, Piltai โ€” priests who stood at the dedication of Jerusalem's wall, each one accountable to a priestly house, each one known by name before God and before the congregation.

Scripture reminds us that covenant faithfulness is rarely celebrated in headlines. It is carried quietly โ€” in the steward who shows up, the shepherd who holds the line, the servant whose name appears in no sermon but is written nonetheless.

Piltai. We know almost nothing else about him. And yet he was *there*, robed and present, when the city rejoiced.

Consider the weight of simply being faithful in your appointed place โ€” not seeking recognition, not absent when the moment arrives.

The Lord keeps the record. Walk with that assurance today.
