**Psalms 107:25** โ€” *"For He spoke and raised a tempest that lifted the waves of the sea."*

He did not send a storm. He *spoke* one into existence.

That distinction matters. The sailors in Psalm 107 were not caught in random meteorology โ€” they were held within the sovereign voice of God. The same Word that called light from darkness called the tempest from stillness. Their chaos had an Author.

This is the pastoral weight of this verse: your storm is not evidence that God has gone silent. It may be evidence that He has *spoken* โ€” that something is being lifted, broken, or redirected by a will far steadier than the sea itself.

The mariners cried out. He stilled the waves. The covenant held through every swell.

Walk with this today โ€” not as one abandoned to weather, but as one held within the word of a Shepherd who commands the deep.

*Let us reflect on what the tempest might be teaching, not just taking.*
