**Daniel 4:24** โ€” *"This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree that the Most High has issued against my lord the king."*

Daniel stood before Nebuchadnezzar โ€” the most powerful man on earth โ€” and did not soften the word. He delivered a hard decree with grief in his voice, not triumph. Verse 19 tells us Daniel was "perplexed for a time" and wished the dream applied to the king's enemies instead.

This is what faithful stewardship of truth looks like: not weaponizing it, not withholding it, but carrying it with sorrow and love toward the one who needs to hear it.

The Most High issues decrees whether kings acknowledge Him or not. Daniel's courage was not arrogance โ€” it was covenant faithfulness, rooted in the understanding that God's mercy runs beneath even His severest words.

Consider the last time you held a hard truth for someone. How you carry it matters as much as whether you speak it.
