**Genesis 29:35** โ€” *"This time I will praise the LORD." So she named him Judah.*

Leah had been counting. Reuben โ€” *surely my husband will love me now.* Simeon โ€” *because the LORD heard I am unloved.* Levi โ€” *now at last my husband will be attached to me.*

Three sons. Three times she reached for Jacob's heart and came away empty.

Then Judah.

No petition. No negotiation. Just praise โ€” bare and unadorned, offered to God alone, independent of whether Jacob noticed or not.

This is the son whose line would carry the covenant forward. Through Judah comes David. Through David comes Christ.

Praise born from unmet longing, offered without condition โ€” Scripture reminds us this is not weakness. It is the posture from which God does His most enduring work.

Consider the name you carry into your most silent disappointments. Walk with Leah long enough, and you will find what she found: worship is not a reward for answered prayers. It is the anchor before them.
