**Deuteronomy 2:37** โ *"But you did not go near the land of the Ammonites, or the land along the banks of the Jabbok River, or the cities of the hill country, or any place that the LORD our God had forbidden."*
Israel had military momentum. Victories behind them, enemies scattering before them. And yet โ they stopped. Not from fear, but from covenant faithfulness. The boundary God drew around Ammonite territory was honored, even when no one was watching, even when crossing it might have seemed strategic.
Obedience here was not passive surrender. It was active restraint โ the harder discipline. Any steward of God's calling knows this tension: the open door that is not *your* door, the opportunity that belongs to another's portion.
Scripture reminds us that knowing where *not* to walk is as sacred as knowing where to go.
Walk with that conviction today โ and let the unforbidden path ahead of you become your testimony.
